Council Member Primeau introduced Ordinance No. 11 for 2007

 

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 107 OF THE CITY CODE TO PROHIBIT THE PUBLIC DISPLAY OF REPTILES

A roll call vote was taken, Council President Kennedy, and Council Members Feeley, Primeau, Riberdy, and DeChiaro voted “AYE”.  Ordinance No. 11 for 2007 was passed.

A RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT EFFORTS TO ADDRESS HOUSING AFFORDABILITY NEEDS THROUGH THE CREATION OF A COUNTYWIDE HOUSING TRUST FUND

A roll call vote was taken, Council President Kennedy, and Council Members Feeley, Primeau, Riberdy, and DeChiaro voted “AYE”.  Resolution No. 30 for 2007 was passed. 

Council Member DeChiaro introduced Resolution No. 31 for 2007

 

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION, AND FUNDING IN THE FIRST INSTANCE 100% OF THE FEDERAL AID AND STATE “MARCHISELLI” PROGRAM AID ELIGIBLE COSTS, OF A TRANSPORTATION FEDERAL AID PROJECT, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE

Ed Tremblay, Director of Economic Development, stated that this is the next phase of the ongoing project to replace the Bridge Avenue Bridge.  The City has recently received approval of the design phase.

Council Member Riberdy asked if the bridge was going to be totally closed.  Mr. Tremblay stated that the bridge would probably be closed for approximately one year.

George Hebert, Masten Ave., asked how the demolition would affect the wastewater line under the bridge.  Mr. Tremblay stated this was addressed in the design phase, and taken into consideration.

A roll call vote was taken, Council President Kennedy, and Council Members Feeley, Primeau, Riberdy, and DeChiaro voted “AYE”.  Resolution No. 31 for 2007 was passed. 

Public Comment Period

Tom Ballard, President of Union Cemetery in Crescent stated that the City of Cohoes owns about and acre and half adjacent to Union Cemetery, which is not being maintained.  Asking at this time to have someone clean up the area.

At 7:10 PM, Council Member DeChiaro made a motion to adjourn.  Seconded by Council Member Riberdy.  All members voted “AYE”.
