The City of Cohoes now accepts MASTERCARD and DISCOVER for payment of taxes, water/sewer bills, clerk fees, and permits. If you wish to pay by credit card there is a convenience fee payable to Nationwide Payment Solutions of 2.45% ($1.50 Minimum) of the charge. Such fee will be disclosed to the cardholder at the time of the transaction with the option to decline the fee and make an alternate payment.
VISA is accepted for tax payments only and there is a Flat Fee of $3.95 for using a Visa Consumer Check Card.
Payment can be made via the phone at (518) 233-2111 (Treasurer’s office) or through the City Clerk at (518) 233-2140. In person payment can be made at Cohoes City Hall, Room #4.
