In an effort to better serve you and the local citizens, the City of Cohoes requires, by law, all local businesses to register with the Office of Community & Economic Development through the Business Registration Program.  The Program will enable us to compile a list of contact information and the services/products offered by businesses located in Cohoes.   The purpose of this program is to accomplish the following:         Promote local  business and the services/products offered       Provide contact information in the event of an emergency       Legitimize local businesses       E-mail notification of community events, seminars etc.       On-line listing at the Cohoes Local Development Corporation website       Encourage tourism to Cohoes   Your cooperation in registering with us will be a vital step toward creating an advantageous community partnership.  As a business owner, there may be questions you have in regard to tax incentives, land use, available grants, etc. to which our office can help you find answers.  There is no cost to have your business registered.  If changes occur - e.g. addition of a business website, or fax line; added products/services; etc. - please notify the office so we can make the necessary updates. You can download the Business Registration Form and fill it out and mail it back to the Community and Economic Development Office at 97 Mohawk Street, Cohoes or fax it to 237-0816. Once you submit the completed registration form, your business will automatically be listed on the Cohoes Local Development Corporations Web site at www.cohoesldc.org where the business directory for Cohoes is located. Business Registration Form
